DEADWOOD , S.D. (KOTA TV) The American Cancer Society is hoping to end cancer one step at a time. Dozens of people came to the Relay for Life of the Northern Hills event at Deadwood Mountain Grand to raise awareness to cancer treatment and causes. The theme was purple, and 35 people raced in the 5k walk/run. After the run, people were able to participate in carnival activities including a dunk tank and blow-up bouncy house.
